The Landscape Industries Association of WA office receives numerous requests for referrals to reputable landscapers; you should be on this list. Members are exposed through Association displays at major trade shows throughout the year and public events. Landscape Awards of Excellence are held bi-annually providing members with the chance to promote their work through statewide media.

High standards of workmanship and professionalism are required and promoted to the public through our Code of Ethics and Code of Practice.

Representation

Landscape Industries Association of WA represents members at all levels of Government through our involvement with decision making of such bodies as the Water Corporation and education through TAFE. You find out first about new issues or legislation affecting the industry. We represent members nationally and internationally through our membership of the Australian Landscape Industries Association (ALIA).

Landscape Industries Association of WA Council

As a member of a professional association, you have the right to nominate for your council. As a member of the Landscape Industires Association of WA Council you will receive invaluable experience in formal meeting procedure as well as chances to represent the landscape industry, and interact with members of other associations. Council meetings will give you a forum to plan future strategies, discuss the current direction of the organisation and voice your opinions on matters raised by Landscape Industries Association of WA members.

The position of Council member does carry some prestige and influence. As a member of Council, you may be asked to liaise with board members of other professional associations and industry bodies. In this capacity you will be representing the interests of Landscape Industries Association of WA members, and your comments and suggestions will be greatly valued.
